Mindful Moments with the Herd

Mindful Moments with the Herd runs from April to November and takes place on the first Friday of every month, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. 

Take some time to gather on the farm, relax, connect with others, breathe, take a quiet walk with the herd to get centered, and increase personal clarity.

Suggested donation of $20; however, no one will be turned away!

Registration is not needed; please arrive 5 minutes before the start of our gathering.

The Art of Co-Facilitation

Hands-on, equine-assisted workshop for teams

Friday, Nov 7, 2025 • 9:00 AM–3:00 PM • Light lunch included

5.5 CE hours pending • Limited 2-for-1 spots

Lead together with ease. In this immersive, equine-assisted training, you’ll practice the mindsets and micro-skills that make co-facilitation feel natural—sharing the lead, reading the room, and supporting each other in real time.

No horse experience required. No riding.

What you’ll practice

  • Clear roles & smooth hand-offs

  • Presence, pacing, and boundaries that build trust

  • Real-time feedback without rupturing rapport

  • Simple debriefs that land and spark action

Grounding & safety • Herd observation for team insight • Paired co-lead practice • Short “scrimmages” with quick coaching • Practical takeaways you can use Monday.

Facilitators, clinicians, educators, managers, peer leaders—anyone who works in teams, in or beyond EAS/EAL.

Continuing Education

5.5 CE hours pending approval. Certificate provided upon completion once approvals are finalized.

Intro to EAP: A Gentle 3-Hour Workshop

How Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy works—and where you fit

Curious how horses support mental health? This intro workshop offers a clear, hands-on look at Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)—what it is, how sessions are structured, and how it might serve your clients (or your practice). It’s a simple way to dip your toe in and see the work up close.

No horse experience required. No riding.

You’ll learn

  • What EAP is—and isn’t (models, roles, and scope)

  • How a session flows: goals, safety, consent, and debrief

  • When EAP fits: use cases for trauma, SUD recovery, anxiety, regulation, and skills-building

  • Ethics, boundaries, and horse welfare essentials

  • Pathways to get involved: clinician partnerships, referrals, observation, and training

Who it’s for

Clinicians, case managers, school counselors, peer specialists, community partners, students, and horse people curious about clinical applications. All are welcome.
